Battlefield 3 "Gun Master" Mode Weapons Breakdown
Gun Master mode in Battlefield 3 puts a new twist on traditional Battlefield game play. Players are divided into two teams. Everyone begins with the exact same weapon and progresses through 17 different Battlefield 3 weapons in the course of the competition. The first player to complete the progression by making two kills with each weapon and a kill with the 17th weapon, your knife, wins the round.

In Gun Master mode, players have unlimited ammo so there's no reason not to fire away unless your a Battlefield Gamer who really cares about your accuracy percentage. Just keep in mind that you still have to reload as usual. There are a lot of tactics you can use to improve your strategy. In addition to the current weapon that you have, you'll always have a knife. You won't advance your own progression by killing with the knife until the very last round, but you can choose to use the knife to take those coveted tags. Killing another player with the knife will demote them one level, so it may be worth knifing anyone who is in the lead and looking like they may win the round.

In order to progress through the Battlefield 3 weapons, you must get two kills with each of the first 15 weapons, and one kill each with the last two. The weapons progression for Gun Master mode is as follows:

2. 93R Pistol
3. .44 Magnum Pistol
4. PP19 Personal Defense Weapon with Suppressor
5. P90 Personal Defense Weapon with Red Dot Sight
6. SPAS-12 Shotgun with Buckshot
7. MK3A1 Shotgun with Frag Rounds
8. ACW-R Carbine with Red Dot Laser Sight
9. MTAR-21 Carbine with Laser Sight, Foregrip, and Holo
10. AUG A3 Assault Rifle with Red Dot Laser Sight and Foregrip
11. SCAR-L Assault Rifle with Laser Sight, Foregrip, and Holo
12. LSAT Light Machine Gun with Laser Sight, Foregrip, and 3.4x
13. L86A2 Light Machine Gun with Foregrip and 4x
14. M417 Sniper Rifle with Flash Suppressor, Foregrip, and 4x
15. JNG-90 Sniper Rifle with Straight Pull Bolt, Laser Sight, and 4x
16. M320 Low Velocity Grenade with Timed Fuse
17. Knife

To increase your chances of winning, try these tips:
· Stay away from other players. Camping an area or being sneaky could be your best option.
· Aim your grenades toward areas where enemies gather such as stairs when you are using the M320.
· Play big with no holds barred. Remember there's unlimited ammo, so don't hold back.

All players will see a notification when level 17 has been reached by the winner. This mode allows you to win XP toward leveling up, unlocking weapons, and earning ribbons, medals, and assignments in Battlefield 3 Gun Master mode.

Gun Master mode is a lot of fun. There can be only one winner, so if your one of those Battlefield Gamers who care about your win/loss ratio, this mode may not be for you.
